AIHA Sponsors the 2008 Science Olympiad
AIHA has made a donation of $5,000 to the Science Olympiad to help with their efforts to promote and improve student interest in science and to improve the quality of K-12 science education throughout the nation.
As a sponsor, AIHA will be supervising the Chemistry Analysis category that includes the Science Crime Busters event for middle school and Forensics for high school. Currently, there are 5,100 active member schools in 47 states across the United States.
AIHA is encouraging all members to become involved with the Science Olympiad within their state during the 2007-2008 school year. Volunteers are needed as assistant event supervisors, student mentors, or classroom speakers. Click here to contact your state director to find out how you can become involved.
The 2008 competition is scheduled for May 30-31 at George Washington University, in Washington, DC.
