AIHA Releases Its 2008 Consultants Listing
 
Updated listing of experts for any occupational and environmental health and safety issue

FAIRFAX, VA (March 3, 2007) — The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) today announced the release of the 2008 AIHA Consultants Listing. Consumers can search for industrial hygienists and other occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professionals by state and specialty.

“AIHA strives to make available the industry’s most qualified industrial hygienists and other OEHS professionals and provide accurate and prompt services to those who need an industrial hygienist,” said AIHA President Donald J. Hart, PhD, CIH. “The Consultants Listing offers this information organized by state and expertise to make it easy for anyone to find exactly what he or she is looking for.”

This list provides government agencies, consumers, business owners, and AIHA members with access to more than 700 individual consultants and 300 companies who can assist in the event an OEHS professional is needed. The list is available online and, on request, also can be provided in a printed, bound version.

Consultants included in the list specialize in areas such as contamination evaluations; airborne particles; biosafety and bioterrorism; asbestos/lead; biological monitoring; ergonomics; indoor air quality; toxicology; expert witness/law; environmental issues; mold; emergency management/disaster planning; risk assessment; and many others.

AIHA members, various government agencies, attendees of several safety and health conferences, members of the media, and a variety of insurance companies, lawyers, and museums have received copies of the Consultants Listing for use when searching for an OEHS professional.

The online version of AIHA’s Consultants Listing is continuously updated, so companies and individuals can be included in the list at any time.
