AIHA Combines Communications, Marketing, and Product Development

With more than 25 years of experience, Connie Paradise leads new department

FAIRFAX, VA (September 5, 2008) - The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) today announced the appointment of Connie Paradise, CAE, as director of communications and product development.

In her new role, Paradise oversees periodicals, public relations, publication development, centralized marketing, customer service, and career and employment services. To best support the new team, AIHA restructured four departments, which called for the promotion of the following staff, who will be accepting new responsibilities.

Paradise has been with AIHA for almost six years. She has more than 25 years of experience in association management with progressively responsible experience in

• Chapter relations
• Organizational development
• Communications

“Strategically, this is a significant move for us bringing all facets of internal and external communications under one coordinating hub to ensure message continuity and quality,” said AIHA’s Executive Director Steven H. Davis, CAE. “Under Connie’s great guidance, we will speak with one voice better than ever.”

Paradise worked at the National Association of Home Builders as regional director of western region field operations, and the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents as assistant vice president of member services, as well as several large, local associations in Maryland. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives Marketing Council and chair of the Marketing and Communications section for the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives.

“I’m looking forward to this exciting, new challenge,” said Connie Paradise “With my experience and skills, I hope to provide the leadership AIHA needs for continued growth.”
