American Industrial Hygiene Foundation Scholarship Program
The Foundation’s annual scholarship program awards scholarships to students studying industrial hygiene and related disciplines. Since 1982, AIHF has distributed more than $900,000 to more than 45 different schools and universities and 356 students.
Program History
The AIHF began awarding scholarships to industrial hygiene students in 1982. Initially, the Foundation awarded general grants to the schools that applied for funds, which were then distributed to one or more students. In 1995 the Foundation began its Endowment Campaign to establish an endowed scholarship fund. Additionally, the procedures for creating named endowed scholarships were established.
In 2007 eligibility criteria was expanded to include more schools. Any Student/Full/Associate member of AIHA who is attending an ABET-accredited IH graduate or undergraduate program, a NIOSH ERC IH program, or a CEPH accredited program with occupational health emphasis is eligible to apply.
