ConsultSIG

The ConsultSIG is a special interest group that aims to help foster the professional growth of AIHA's consultant members. The group also provides the means of communication among consultants who are members of AIHA.

Example Consulting Services Agreement

The AIHA ConsultSIG, in an effort spearheaded by Bruce P. Miller, CIH, drafted an example consulting services agreement for submission to the AIHA and use by the general membership. The purpose for preparing the document was to provide the AIHA membership with an example consulting services agreement that focused on the specific issues consulting industrial hygienists may encounter when working in the field of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and in particular, mold (fungi) related projects.  The example consulting services agreement is located in the Members only area of the AIHA website at http://www.aiha.org/membersonly/.

Results of the Consultants Survey

The ConsultSIG, in conjuction with AIHA's Marketing Department and McKinley Marketing, conducted a survey of AIHA Consultant members. The results of that survey  were presented at the ConsultSIG Annual Business Meeting at AIHce 2005.

Furthermore, the ConsultSIG will promote the profession of health, safety, and environmental consulting to those outside of AIHA, including governmental, industrial, educational, and other professional bodies, as well as provide a mechanism for professional development of ConsultSIG members.

Activities of the ConsultSIG shall connect, overlap, or originate with the industrial hygiene skills and capabilities of its member consultants.
