 International Affiliate Membership

An international affiliate member is an individual who resides in, and is a citizen of, a country classified by the World Bank as a low-income, lower-middle-income or upper-middle-income economy, and who is practicing occupational and environmental health and safety.

International affiliate members will have electronic-only access to the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene and The Synergist. They also will receive the same discounts on products and services as full members.

Activities

• Working in collaboration with ACGIH, IOHA, WHO, PAHO, ILO
• Addressing AIHA International Issues such as: Continuing Education, Membership, Publications, Laboratory Accreditation, and Humanitarian Outreach
• Supporting the establishment of IH graduate programs in Colombia, India and Poland
• Assisting with the organization of IH associations in Poland, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico and Brazil
• Assisting with developing AIHA’s organizational international role
• Appointed first AIHA Ambassador to Poland - Aleksandra Nawakowski
• Sponsoring AIHCE symposiums, roundtables, and forums on International Occupational Hygiene Issues
• Establishment of informational web sites and list serves
