Join a Volunteer Group

Shape the Future

Enhance your membership experience while making a difference with AIHA volunteer group participation. Not only will you have the opportunity to enhance your career, you will shape and determine priorities for the OEHS profession.

Volunteer group members are involved in a wide variety of specialties ranging from exposure assessment to indoor environmental air quality, to safety. With representatives from academia, government, labor, management, consulting, and other key sectors, volunteer groups address diverse issues and influence the future of the OEHS community.

AIHA Volunteer Groups

Get Involved

Being involved in an AIHA volunteer group is fun and challenging. While the duties of individual members vary, there are basic responsibilities for all members. These include:

  • Attending meetings and conference calls and participating on project teams
  • Accepting and completing assignments
  • Being receptive and open to ideas
  • Understanding and supporting the goals and vision of AIHA
  • Contributing to professional development courses, educational sessions, symposia, case studies, various publications, and AIHA white papers and position statements.

Choosing to become an officer of a volunteer groups will increase your commitment levels, but also the rewards. Not only do you contribute more to the profession, you also get to participate in exciting AIHA events.
