You get the following benefits by becoming a member of the Alamo Local Section:


Monthly meetings with timely topics!

Networking with other professionals ... access to AIHA national support and news.


AIHA Distance learning - the telewebs from national speakers for maintenance points.

There is Power in numbers - the more people participate in the telewebs the less the cost for each of us individually. Where else can you get a $300 - $350.00 course for $35.00 or less? .... and you can benefit from this without having to travel outside the city limits. (optional: individual certificates are $35.00)

Local Section Website posted at National Level with both national and local news such as:

Government Affairs - Happenings for the Hill - Reports on legislation, i.e. Title protection/Professional recognition, Gov't Affairs Director presentations and State Gov't Affairs Organization assistance

Job Postings (we receive locally and nationally) or post your resume.

Participate in Outreach programs - Taking IH into the community.

Mentoring program - Capitalizing on the experience our local CIHs can
provide or provide mentoring to aspiring CIHs.

You can vote in the section elections and run for elected office!

If you run and are an Elected Board member (& be a national member as well) you get the following Points:

President - 1.0 pt/yr
President Elect - 0.5 pt/yr
Secretary - 1.0 pt/yr
Treasurer - 1.0 pt/yr
Past President - 1.0 pt/yr

The more members we have, the stronger our section will be financially and
we will be able to provide more services such as the TeleWeb course and more options for meeting locations.

To join the local section, you can either download and print the membership
application
from our website or you can pick one up at the next meeting. If
you are renewing and your information has not changed, just submit your membership dues to the Treasurer or any officer at the next meeting.
