Responsibilities
This position will provide leadership and technical support in the areas of:
· Direct industrial hygiene, safety, environmental and litigation support consulting activities;
· Prepare proposals and bid documents in coordination with business development staff;
· Conduct and/or oversee the completion of industrial hygiene surveys for noise, indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, lead, etc.;
· Preparation and review of site safety/work plans;
· Technical report preparation and/or review;
· Quality assurance/quality control technical review;
· Train and manage junior staff members;
· Develop business leads and new EHS consulting services.
· Position may require short-term travel throughout the United States.

Position Overview
The EH&S Engineer position supports the environmental, health and safety programs. Serves as a resource to Company in the areas of EH&S compliance, engineering, hazard communication, industrial hygiene and/or industrial safety (Including Process Safety Management where applicable).
Primary Responsibilities
Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental permits, licenses and registrations.
Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and/or safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
Serves as contact with federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.
Assist with programs to improve environmental, health and/or safety performance and to identify opportunities to prevent pollution and/or work related injuries.
Provide and/or coordinate environmental, health and/or safety related training to new hires and production personnel.
Assist with intra-company environmental, health and/or safety auditing program.
Performs structured assignments that require interpretation of data and regulations, identification of problem sources and possible remedial actions.
Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental, health and/or safety policy and procedure manuals.
Investigates causes of industrial accidents and/or injuries to develop solutions to minimize or prevent recurrence.
Prepares reports of findings and recommends corrective action from investigation of accidents, inspection of facilities, or testing of environment.
Maintains regular contact with personnel throughout all levels and in all areas of the organization and facility.
Performs other duties as required.
Required:
BS degree and at least 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough knowledge of EH&S laws and government regulations.
Ability to verbally and orally communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of employees, regulators and/or public groups.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
Ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
Preferred, but not required:
Experience with air regulations
Chemical accounting
Office environment for majority of time.
Ability to access, input, retrieve and send information via computer and telephone.
Some exposure to chemicals, including vapors, from solvents, adhesives, corrosives and/or paints and/or explosives/propellants or their components.
Ability to manipulate and move 55 gallon drums of chemicals.
Ability to set example by showing complete compliance in use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, respirators, hearing protection and other PPE as required.
May need to walk over uneven terrain, bend, kneel or stoop and stand or sit for long periods of time.

Sunoco HES Auditor I / II:
Position Summary:
Perform
environmental, DOT, security and management systems audits at facilities, as
appropriate. Although candidate will be asked to perform a variety of audits,
technical expertise in environmental is a must and expertise with management
systems is preferred. Audits will be performed at Sunoco's operating
facilities, including refineries, chemical plants, coke plants, and
company-operated convenience stores. Additionally, audits will be performed at
marketing terminals & pipeline = facilities and other locations, as appropriate.
These audits are conducted on-site at company locations. Travel is required
(approximately 30%). Will also assist with developing/maintaining audit
protocols, tracking audit results and assisting with Sunoco's Annual HES report.
Requirements:
BS degree in
Engineering or environmental discipline. Minimum 3 - 7 years experience dealing
with environmental regulations, and issues including auditing experience.
Familiarity with HES audit processes required; petroleum and/or chemical
industry experience preferred; proficiency with Word, Access, Excel applications
necessary.
Preferred Skills,
Education, and Experience:
Strong
organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary to manage audit
activities. Good analysis skills to assess facilities compliance with various
regulations and management system requirements. The candidate should posses
the ability to work with and lead HES audit teams composed of internal and
external auditors. Certification, or working towards certification, such as
CPEA, CHMM a plus. Strong writing skills a must.
