Message from the President

Hi:

It is a pleasure to serve as President of the Mid-America Chapter for the next year. We have an outstanding team of officers working to keep you updated on key events. This promises to be an exciting year for the Mid-America local section. We will have seven meetings including a ½ day symposium, and a Teleweb. More information will be forthcoming on these issues in the near future.

My goal is to keep the momentum strong that has been built up over the years from the work of past officers and members. Dr. Popov did an excellent job of leading the Mid-America Chapter in the past year. I depend on his guidance to help guide me during my term as President. We need your support to keep this chapter strong. In the past, I have relayed to national how impressed I am with the support the Mid-America Chapter gives to our student chapter at UCM. The student chapter greatly appreciates your support.

For this to be a great year we need to hear from the members. Tell us what issues are important to you and we will do what we can. Working together is always better than trying to go it alone. We can use some help in recruiting new members. There are several industrial hygienists in the area who are not members. Please help with recruiting by reaching out and inviting someone who is not a member to attend one of our meetings.

I look forward to seeing all of you at our future meetings.

John N. Zey
