Please join us for our next Section event on February 27th. 

 

The Potomac Section, along with the National Capital Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, is sponsoring a full day Professional Development Conference at Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus in Rockville, MD, near the Shady Grove Hospital.

The PDC features 2 key note speakers:  National Safety Professional of the Year, Emory Knowles  will discuss "Emerging Issues Impacting the EHS Profession" and  NIOSH’s Max Lum will discuss "Social Media in OH&S".

 

Depending upon your interests, there are further offerings: 

• An 8-Hour HAZMAT Packaging and Handling Certification Course on February 27th and,
   

• The Essentials of Hazardous Materials Management Course from 2/28/12 to  3/2/12.  This is a 4-Day Course formerly known as the "overview course" and is helpful in studying for the CHMM exam.
