The Potomac Section, along with the National Capital Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, is sponsoring a full day Professional Development Conference at Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus in Rockville, MD, near the Shady Grove Hospital.

The PDC features 2 key note speakers National Safety Professional of the Year, Emory Knowles  will discuss "Emerging Issues Impacting the EHS Profession" and  NIOSH’s Max Lum will discuss "Social Media in OH&S".

 

Depending upon your interests, there are further offerings: 

  • An 8-Hour HAZMAT Packaging and Handling Certification Course on February 27th and,
     

  • The Essentials of Hazardous Materials Management Course from 2/28/12 to  3/2/12.  This is a 4-Day Course formerly known as the "overview course" and is helpful in studying for the CHMM exam.
