Correction to October Issue
The Standards Update on page 54 of the October 2009 Synergist incorrectly stated that the ANSI Z88 Committee on Respiratory Protection has voted to approve the formation of a subcommittee to work on the standard for performance testing and maintenance of non-NFPA covered respirators. The article should have said that the Z88 Committee is expected to vote on this issue in December. The PDF of the October issue was corrected on Nov. 4 to reflect this change. The Synergist regrets the error.

AIHA’s Distance Learning Program, in conjunction with The Synergist, offers a way for IHs and OEHS professionals to earn CM points and CEUs/COCs by reading the Synergist.
