Notes:
Establish an employee knowledgebase of a behavior-based safety process through communication.
These meetings can be initially coordinated by a safety specialist. Follow-up meetings can be coordinated by the behavior-based safety steering committee members. This provides ownership in the process.
This will require one to initiate group discussions on what is behavior-based safety and what it will mean to all employees. This will open the door to further questions and concerns at the forefront. These discussions can be completed through safety meetings, plant meetings or other means as appropriate for your organization.
