There are five (5) elements to consider while determining the effectiveness of similar process for your organization.
- How to provide a foundation for individuals to understand the elements of a behavior-based safety process. You may want to consider the steps that were taken at SLAC.
2. If applicable, determine the Union members’ perception and concerns of a behavior-based safety process.
3. Understand the employees’ perceptions and concerns of a new process that will directly involve them.
4. Evaluate upper-management’s commitment, both monetarily and personally, to a process to reduce the probability of an injury or illness.
5. Take a good look at your personal commitment to implement a similar behavior-based safety process.
