Test samples were produced by MMA, MAG and FCAW welding using a variety of welding consumables, using the recommended test conditions established in the first phase of project.
The samples were analysed and the measured values were compared with MSDS data for each constituent of the welding fume.
This resulted in a vast amount of data, far too much to show here, even in a condensed form. However, to summarise, the % measured values v MSDS data were typically in the range 70 % to 140 %, with an average of around 100 % and an average relative standard deviation of around 30 %.
