Notes:
The partnership agreement was formatted after the Federal training & education directive on partnerships. It includes provisions for our consultation division to visit construction sites of participating members on an annual basis. A continuous monitoring system is in place to ensure compliance with the partnership elements. Occupational injury & illness data will be submitted to our agency on an annual basis. Additionally, member contractors must attain the platinum level of ABC's safety & health system. This provides for internal monitoring of their members.
A random number of sites will be visited by enforcement on an annual basis, otherwise the contractors will be exempt from programmed enforcement activities. This is a slight deviation from the Federal directive. However, it signifies the trust we want to have between Iowa OSHA and our employers.
