Certification Maintenance (CM) Points

AIHce 2009 is approved for certification maintenance (CM) points by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as follows:

Diplomates who instruct courses receive recertification credit on the basis of 0.33 point per hour. Technical session and poster presenters delivering peer-reviewed papers greater than or equal to 20 minutes are awarded 1.0 CM point. Co-authors listed in the AIHce Final Program receive 0.5 CM point.

For a record of course attendance, ABIH requires:

  • AIHce 2009 course certificate

For a record of technical session / tour attendance, ABIH requires:

  • AIHce 2009 registration receipt and hotel bill or approved expense report

Do not send information to ABIH; direct questions regarding certification and related documentation to ABIH at (517) 321-2638. Although AIHA maintains attendance records, it is the responsibility of the registrant to retain all documentation including certificates and registration receipts for future reference and/or certification audits.

BCRSP

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals has awarded 2.0 Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) points for attendance of the full conference (June 1-4, 2009).

CRBOH

The Registration Maintenance (RH) Committee of the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH) has awarded:

  • 1.0 registration maintenance point per conference day
  • 1.0 registration maintenance point for each full day PDC
  • 0.5 registration maintenance point per half day PDC.

Registrants claiming any registration maintenance points must provide proof of attendance.

CEUs

CEUs and COCs

AIHA is approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to award CEUs to participants successfully completing courses. In obtaining this approval, the AIHA has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard which is widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of their Authorized Provider membership status, AIHA is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standards.

AIHA is authorized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) to issue continuance of certification (COC) points in conjunction with the CSP certification.


Attendance and participation in assigned activities and projects is required to earn CEUs, COCs and CM points. Partial credits will not be awarded.
