
AIHce 2009 is approved for certification maintenance (CM) points by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as follows:
Diplomates who instruct courses receive recertification credit on the basis of 0.33 point per hour. Technical session and poster presenters delivering peer-reviewed papers greater than or equal to 20 minutes are awarded 1.0 CM point. Co-authors listed in the AIHce Final Program receive 0.5 CM point.

Although AIHA maintains attendance records, it is the responsibility of the registrant to retain all documentation including certificates and registration receipts for future reference and/or certification audits.

AIHA is approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to award CEUs to participants successfully completing courses
AIHA is authorized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) to issue continuance of certification (COC) points in conjunction with the CSP certification.
Attendance and participation in assigned activities and projects is required to earn CEUs, COCs and CM points
