Hospitality Center

Register for AIHce and catch up with friends, grab a cup of coffee, and join the fun. A varied slate of tours and complimentary activities are “in the works.” The Center will be located in The Fairmont Royal York and staffed by a knowledgeable concierge who will answer questions about what to do, where to go, where to eat, and where to play in exciting Toronto.

To participate in Hospitality Center events, register for AIHce on the Advance Registration and Hotel Form. Highlighted activities are included in the Family Member/Guest fee.

Registration for AIHce is not required to participate in the Social Tours. Fees include transportation, professional escort, entrance fees and other amenities as described. Payment in full is required at the time of ticket purchase. If the minimum on a tour is not met, the tour may be cancelled. Full refunds will be issued. Individuals canceling a tour must do so by April 30. After this date, fees cannot be refunded. Tickets will be sold on site, pending availability.

Monday, June 1

Casa LomaST-01 Toronto by Land, Toronto by Sea
1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., $50 per person

Discover Toronto, a city of towering structures, lively ethnic neighborhoods and quiet unique corners. Take a short bus ride and view the highlights of Toronto’s famous skyline including CN Tower, the magnificent Royal Bank Building, and historic Casa Loma. Travel through bustling Chinatown to Little Italy and Cabbagetown to Forest Hill. See century-old churches, abundant gardens, a dynamic theater district and world-class museums. For a different perspective, enjoy a relaxing cruise on Lake Ontario amid big ships, ocean freighters and luxury yachts in the bustling harbor. Glide through the Toronto Islands and delight in the abundant waterfowl and island tranquility. Onshore, spend free time exploring the eclectic shops at Queen’s Quay Terminal or the Craft Studios at Harbourfront.

Tuesday, June 2

Hands-on Clay WorkshopST-02 A “Work of Art”
1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., $55 per person

Majolica from the Italian Renaissance…contemporary works by Picasso…and 18th century European tea services are just some of the items showcased in the Gardiner Museum’s stunning 2,900 piece collection often described as a “jewel box of ceramic treasures.” Following a guided tour of the museum, guests are invited to sculpt their own ceramic “treasure” in a hands-on clay workshop led by a professional potter in the museum’s studio. After creating your own personal work of art, spend free time in nearby Yorkville, a monument to Victorian-Gothic architecture and one of Toronto’s trendiest shopping districts.

Game time: 7:00 p.m.

Baseball - America’s favorite pastime - is also a favorite in Canada. The Blue Jays play the Los Angeles Angels at the re-energized Rogers Centre. Tickets sell fast for this annual event. Don’t miss the excitement!

Wednesday, June 3

Niagra FallsST-04 A Day at the Falls
9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., $98 per person

Since the 1820’s, visitors have flocked to Niagara Falls drawn by its beauty, power, and majesty. Don raincoats and hats and board the Maid of the Mist for a close up view of this natural phenomenon. Cruise to the base of the American Falls and, with water rushing all around, forge on into the basin of Horseshoe Falls. Following this once-in-a lifetime adventure, lunch awaits at Elements Restaurant. After lunch, travel to Niagara-on-the Lake, considered one of the prettiest towns in Ontario boasting luxurious country homes and lush vineyards. Take time to wander through the specialty shops and galleries along main street before returning to downtown Toronto.
