Technical Session Presenters

  • Notification letters were mailed in December 2008 and contained a link to electronically accept your speaking engagement. If you do not have the URL, please contact Miriam Heston at mheston@aiha.org.
  • All presenters are REQUIRED to check in at the Speaker Ready Room 30-60 minutes prior to their session.
  • Poster presenters must stop by the Speaker Ready Room to obtain a set up pass before entering the Expo.

If you are unable to present your paper or poster, contact Miriam Heston, Conference Programs Coordinator at mheston@aiha.org or telephone (703) 846-0753.

Registration and Hotel Reservations

Presenters may register and reserve hotel accommodations online or complete the Advance Registration and Hotel Reservation Form. The deadline is April 30. If registered by April 30, badges will be mailed in advance. Internationals, excluding Canadians, should register by April 15.

AIHA and ACGIH member oral and poster presenters, session arrangers, moderators, and monitors are required to pay the applicable full or one-day registration fee. Invited, nonmember roundtable presenters only may attend the conference at no charge.

AIHce-supplied computers in the meeting rooms are Windows-based PCs with Microsoft PowerPoint (Office XP); the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, Windows Media Player, and Quick Time for Windows. Other presentation programs will not be available. PowerPoint 4.x, 98/2001, and 10 created on a Macintosh computer will open successfully on a PC. See Helpful Hints for Preparing Oral Presentations.

The Ready Room will also be equipped with editing stations and professional audiovisual consultants will be available to assist with technical questions. Presenters may use personal laptops to review slides; however, laptops may not be used in session rooms.
Session Recordings

All sessions will be audio recorded for sale, unless otherwise noted in the Final Program. If you do not grant permission to record your presentation, it will be edited. Presenters may obtain a copy of their session at a reduced rate; discount coupons will be available in the Ready Room.
