Presenter Bios
Iseult Lynch, PhDDr. Lynch is Strategic Research Manager of the Centre For BioNano Interactions (CBNI) in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland.
Mark D. Hoover, PhD, CHP, CIHDr. Hoover is a senior research scientist in the Division of Respiratory Disease Studies at the CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, in Morgantown, West Virginia. Mark has a BS degree in mathematics and English from Carnegie Mellon University and MS and PhD degrees in engineering from the University of New Mexico. He is also board certified in the comprehensive practice of health physics and in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene.
Michael Cullen, PhD
Michael is a Senior Engineer within the Environmental Health and Safety Department of Intel Corporation. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering (UCD), a Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Management (UCD) and a Masters Degree in Business Studies in the Management of Health and Safety at Work (DCU). Michael has been involved in the NanoMaterials Safety Programme at Intel Ireland in conjunction with internal and external partners across the European Union (EU).
Don Ewert, IH
Don holds a Chemistry degree along with graduate school credentials from both NDSU and CSU. Over his career, he’s served as University Safety Officer, CEO & Lead Hygienist for various environmental engineering firms, Tribal Executive responsible for consent decree management, Research Scholar within CSU’s Toxicology Center and Corporate EH&S Manager for nanotechnology and pharmaceutical-based manufacturing organizations. Don has always been active as a national leader in the area of EH&S and is currently Chairman of AIHA’s Nanotechnology Working Group. With a passion for Industrial Hygiene, Don is lecturing on global nanotechnology interests, risk management, and occupational control methodologies.
