January 2009 Meeting
For our January meeting - - Bayer will hold a 1/2-day seminar entitled "Isocyanates: Current Issues in Toxicology, Occupational Medicine, Industrial Hygiene, and Regulation."
The date/time is Wed. January 21, 2009 from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Space will be limited to 30 members. The seminar will be held at the main campus of Bayer. 0.5 ABIH CM Point is
pending approval.

AIHA Members: Those of you that are National AIHA members should have recently received your National AIHA Dues Renewal in the mail - - don't forget that you can also pay your Pittsburgh Local Section dues along with your National dues - - please check the box for Pittsburgh AIHA when you complete your Natl. AIHA form. National AIHA will forward us your payment information and you will be marked "paid" through 2009 for Pittsburgh AIHA membership.

Credit Cards Now Accepted Using PayPal! New this year, credit cards will now be accepted using PayPal for Local Section payments including Membership, Consultants List, Corporate Sponsorship Contributions, and Meeting Registration fees (Pittsburgh AIHA only). This free service is provided as a convenience to our members! In most cases, electronic invoices will be sent for payments which can then be paid immediately using a credit card, or printed and sent in with payment. Note: National AIHA members are still encouraged to pay their local section dues along with their national dues.

The Pittsburgh Local Section of the AIHA is a non-profit organization providing a local forum for Industrial Hygienists in Western Pennsylvania, parts of West Virginia and Ohio. The purpose of our organization is to promote the study, evaluation, and control of environmental stresses in the workplace as they impact the health and well being of our employees and the public. The local section, by offering monthly programs and seminars, provides opportunities to increase our knowledge of industrial and environmental health through the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of information to our members.
This site is intended to provide Local Section Members with information pertaining to membership, meetings, National AIHA events, ABIH certification maintenance, and other Association information. Suggestions to improve this site can be submitted to the Website Coordinator for consideration or click on "Contact Us" at the left.
