Congratulations!

Congratulations to the Pittsburgh AIHA Award winners at the 69th Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair! The AIHA Sponsor Judges included: George Bender, Dan
Flanagan, Frank Pokrywka, and Paula Sweitzer.

Mary Wattick, 8th grade at St. Thomas More won for her project titled "The Reliability of Lead Testing".

Eva Gillis-Buck, 12th grade at The Ellis School in Pittsburgh won for her project titled "Heavy Metals in Soil".

Local Section

The Pittsburgh Local Section of the AIHA is a non-profit organization providing a local forum for Industrial Hygienists in Western Pennsylvania, parts of West Virginia and Ohio. The purpose of our organization is to promote the study, evaluation, and control of environmental stresses in the workplace as they impact the health and well being of our employees and the public.  The local section, by offering monthly programs and seminars, provides opportunities to increase our knowledge of industrial and environmental health through the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of information to our members.

This site is intended to provide Local Section Members with information pertaining to membership, meetings, National AIHA events, ABIH certification maintenance, and other Association information.  Suggestions to improve this site can be submitted to the Website Coordinator for consideration or click on "Contact Us" at the left.
