  • December 4, 2008. Annual Holiday Social Meeting including Officer Reports for 2008, Goals for 2009, 2009 Officer Discussions.
  • September 25, 2008. Vapor Intrusion and Indoor Air Quality Sampling and Analysis TO-15 the Most Advanced Technology
  • October 16, 2008. OSHA Update, Agency Changes and where OSHA’s emphasis is for the coming new year. Discussions on the direction OSHA may take depending on which party takes the presidency.
  • October 22, 2008. Telebweb on Non-ionizing radiation

  • September 20 Joint AIHA/ASSE Kick-Off Meeting - "Emergency Management and Planning"
  • September 27 Dinner Meeting. Topics to be discussed include "Radiological Hazards During the Decommissioning of Cornell University's Research Reactor" and "A Practical Guide to Assessment and Control of Radon."
  • October 18 ASSE Lunch Meeting. "How to Properly Use a Fire Extinguisher"
  • February 21 ASSE/CNYAIHA Meeting - Guest speaker Dr. Cynthia Morrow, Onondaga County Health Department Commissioner of Health, will be discussing "Control of Communicable Diseases in the Workplace."
  • February 28 Chapter Dinner Meeting Topics to be discussed include Laser and Laser Safety
  • April 10 Chapter Dinner Meeting
    Guest speaker Frank Strelec from the Syracuse OSHA Office, will be discussing "Silica, Noise and Total Particulate Exposures During Concrete Mixer Drum Cleaning." Additionally the CNY AIHA Chapter Scholarship Award will be presented.
  • Empire State Safety 2008 - General Conference & Vendor Exhibition
  • May 7th Joint Dinner Meeting. The NYPenn Chapter of ACHMM and the CNY AIHA will be conducting a joint dinner meeting. Topics to be discussed include "Who Says Sorbents Cannot Eliminate Flammability by Suppression of Hazardous Vapors" and "Emergency Response versus Incident Response: Do HAZWOPER Training Requirements Apply to Spills in Your Workplace."
