Mission

We are dedicated to improving workplace health and safety conditions through the sharing of industrial hygiene knowledge and experience with fellow members and the public.  We provide educational opportunities to enhance technical expertise, network with other technical groups and provide a forum to promote the practice of industrial hygiene in Central New York.

Who We Are

The Central New York Section membership includes industrial hygienists from the public and private sector, safety professionals, technical sales representatives and others interested in health protection of workers and the business and industrial community. Geographically, the membership is open to anyone residing or working in Central New York. Membership in the national organization of the American Industrial Hygiene Association is strongly encouraged

 STUDYING FOR THE CERTIFIED INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE (CIH) EXAM?

Studying for the CIH Exam just got easier with the help of your local AIHA members. The local section will once again be organizing a series of study sessions taught by experts in their respective fields. The sessions will be organized around the new subject domains first being used for the Fall 09 exam. The sessions will include classroom subject overview, discussions and some sample exam questions. Sessions to start the end of May and will be held every other week. Location and time to be determined. A small fee of $80 is being charged to cover minor expenses. So let us help you succeed !!!!
