NEAIHA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTION ---LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES!
In my seven years of service to this chapter, our members and others have listened to many interesting speakers regarding health and safety. These topics have ranged from the very small---nanotechnology---to the VERY BIG---NASA IN OUTER SPACE. I’ve learned much from the highly skilled and diverse professionals in our chapter. I have also seen the benefits of working with other local chapters and professional organizations. The first joint Industrial Hygiene meeting in Sturbridge, MA in November 2007 proved to be an excellent blending of talents and resources to learn about our profession. NEAIHA also won best large chapter website this past year.
As we have mentioned at past meetings, due to the recent change in our “business year”, the existing NEAIHA Executive Committee will remain in place for 2008. As the past president for the NEAIHA, it is my pleasure and responsibility to seek out candidates for the upcoming new officer positions effective in 2009. We have a need for candidates to fill the positions of President-elect, Secretary, Director, and Vendor Liaison. Each position comes with varying responsibilities, but they all offer you an opportunity to grow as a professional, network with colleagues, and learn new skill sets. Please feel free to talk with me or any of the Executive Committee members to help you understand the commitments and select the position that best fits your capabilities.
You will get back more than you can imagine and will help NEAIHA to continue to move forward. We will be accepting nominations starting with our January 23, 2008 meeting through September 30, 2008. We encourage you to consider contributing your knowledge, skills, and talents as an NEAIHA officer.
Best Regards,
Don Delikat, CIH Past-President (617) 969-7177 x344 NEAIHA Website Consultant/Vendor Listing Are you a consultant or a vendor who would like to get some valuable exposure to the IH and OHS community in the New England region?
