There are two local sections in the nearby vicinity of American Industrial Hygiene Association's National Headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia: the Chesapeake Section, including the northern Potomac Valley and eastward to the Susquehanna River and the Eastern Shore and inclusive of the metropolitan Baltimore area; and the Potomac Section, encompassing the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, which includes the nearby Maryland and northern Virginia areas.
