We're seeking experienced independent representatives to conduct commercial loss control surveys in Washington, DC and the surrounding area. (Position is based in the Washington, DC area and all communication with Alexander & Schmidt is done via phone and internet. No travel to Maine is required.)
As an Independent
Representative, you schedule your own appointments to conduct on-site risk
inspections involving several coverages (i.e. Property, Liability, Products,
Fleet, Workers' Comp., etc.), providing a detailed report of the risk for use
by insurance underwriters.
3 – 5 years experience in loss control or safety field required. Ideal
candidates will have experience in: Commercial Lines, Property and Casualty
Risk Assessments, Loss Control, Industrial Construction, Fire Safety or
Environmental Health and Safety. Must be detail oriented, able to meet
deadlines, have excellent time management, and oral/written communication
skills. A broad technical background and PC skills required. Reliable
transportation a must.
High school graduate minimum. Prefer some college. Professional
certifications, CSP, ALCM and/or ARM are preferred, but not necessary.
Excellent for individuals looking to set their own schedules and work
independently in a growing segment of a vital industry.
