Safety Specialist

Local occupational safety and health consulting firm has an opening for a safety specialist for a federal government customer in Washington, DC. The individual selected will have a degree in occupational safety and health along with three to five years experience. Must have knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply OSHA regulations and other standards. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required.

Ø  Duties to be preformed include:

Ø  Providing technical advice and assistance to management,

Ø  Investigating mishap,

Ø  developing and presenting training,

Ø  performing inspections and reporting results,

Ø  developing safety procedures, among others.
