2009 is approved for Category 4 certification maintenance (CM)
points by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) as
follows:
Diplomates who instruct courses receive Category 5 CM points at a rate of 0.33 points per hour of teaching.
Participation Authentication: It is the responsibility of the registrant to retain all documentation authenticating their participation in any activity for which CM points are being claimed. Examples of acceptable documentation are listed in the ABIH CM Program Handbook. Documentation does not need to be sent to ABIH unless the Diplomate is selected for a CM Audit.

The Registration Maintenance (RM) Committee of the Canadian
Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH) has awarded:
Registrants claiming any registration maintenance points must provide proof of attendance.
AIHA is authorized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
(BCSP) to issue continuance of certification (COC) points, equal to
the number of CEUs awarded (for the symposium and PDCs), in
conjunction with the Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
certification.
AIHA has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the
International Association for Continuing Education and Training
(IACET). As an IACET Authorized Provider, AIHA offers CEUs for its
programs that qualify under IACET guidelines. AIHA is authorized by
IACET to offer CEUs for the Symposium and PDCs (Oct. 3-Oct. 4), see
individual descriptions.
Attendance and participation in assigned activities and projects is required to earn points. Partial credits will not be awarded. For specific point information, please review individual course descriptions. Questions may also be directed to eduassistant@aiha.org.

Getting to and from Vancouver is easy! Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is located approximately 10 miles (or 30 minutes) from the hotel. Taxi service to the hotel is approximately $26 CAN one-way. Canada Line also provides train service to the downtown area.

U.S. Citizens
All U.S. citizens traveling by air, land or sea are required to present a passport to enter or re-enter the United States.
Exception: Currently, U.S. citizen children under the age of 16, entering Canada by land or sea, may present the original or copy of their birth certificate, or other proof of U.S. citizenship such as a naturalization certificate or citizenship card. Non-Canadian/Non-U.S. Citizens –
All individuals (including children regardless of age) traveling by air, land, or sea are required to show a passport to enter Canada and enter/re-enter country of origin.
Non-U.S. residents may need to obtain a visa to enter Canada; see www.canadavisa.com. Individuals should apply for a visa as soon as possible, but no later than July, 2009.
A letter of invitation will be provided, upon request, to those who need to apply for a visa to attend PCIH. The requesting party must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Customs declarations must be completed before entering Canada and prior to returning to country of origin. Goods for personal use are exempt from duty provided they are declared upon entry and are carried back. Generally, small electronics including laptop computers do not need to be registered before departing country of origin.
