Nominations are being accepted for the 2014 Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Awards. The awards recognize effective practices in hearing loss prevention, and are given by NIOSH in partnership with the National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA). Applicants are evaluated against key performance indicators in a review process designed to evaluate hearing loss prevention programs in each of three work sectors: construction, manufacturing, and services. A fourth award for Innovation in Hearing Loss Prevention recognizes individuals or business entities, regardless of industrial sector.
The deadline for self-nominations is Sept. 6, 2013. For more information, visit the Safe-in-Sound home page. Questions may be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
