Drop talk of ergonomics

We keep hearing ergonomics is a priority for the Obama Administration and Labor. That may be, but let's hope reality sets in and they drop talk of this issue. Industry has stated they will spend whatever it takes to stop an ergonomics standard. OSHA doesn't stand a chance of developing any standard in the next four years. Why destroy any chance whatsoever to have a bipartisan effort on worker health and safety by infusing the divisive issue of ergonomics. Drop it and start working on something where both industry and labor can actually agree. If you really feel this is an issue that can't wait, start working on more guidelines, safe-patient handling issues, and partnerships with those industries that are willing to work on the issue.
