Summary from January Business Meeting

During our semi-annual planning and business meeting on January 19th, 2000, we discussed comments and changes to the Local Section Bylaws. In the near future the updated bylaws will be issued for a vote to accept or decline changes.

Due to the detailed discussion of the bylaws, we were unable to address several important topics.  The following topics have been tabled until the next business meeting, tentatively scheduled for April:

        Increasing local member dues,

Participating and promoting health and safety in community activities,

Increasing opportunities for CM points, and

        Suggesting topics for future meetings.

These topics and annual officer selection will be discussed at the next business meeting.   Date, time and place to be announced at a later date.  If you have ideas for any of these topics, do not hesitate to share them with an officer before the next meeting.
