Update on the NEW OHSMS Registry

As you know, the AIHA Registry Programs is in the process creating a new specialty credential for professionals who audit Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS). We are happy to report that the test has been developed, the qualifications have been determined, and the application will go live once our new database is launched. Once launched, the application will feature all of the remaining details for the program including fees and deadlines.

To qualify for the OHSMS Registry, an applicant must satisfy both the educational and professional areas of experience. Applicants must have, at minimum, an Associate’s Degree, three years of occupational health and safety work experience, 320 hours professional experience in any combination of quality, environmental, health and safety, or general auditing activities, and 10 hours OHSMS auditing education/training within the past seven years.

Stay tuned for more updates on this new program and the launch of our new information database.
