Upper Midwest Local Section / John Pendergrass Scholarship

Scholarship applicants who meet the AIHF's general eligibility requirements and the Upper Midwest Local Section criteria, detailed below, will be preferred over other qualified applicants.

 

Upper Midwest Local Section / John Pendergrass Scholarship Criteria:

  • An applicant with their permanent residence in the established geographic area of the Upper Midwest Local Section (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or western Wisconsin) who is attending/applying to, at the graduate or undergraduate level, an ABET-accredited industrial hygiene (IH) or environmental health and safety (EHS) program, NIOSH Education & Research Center (ERC) IH program, or CEPH-accredited program with emphasis in occupational health; OR

  •  An applicant attending/applying to, at the graduate or undergraduate level, a university in the Upper Midwest Local Section geographic area in an ABET-accredited IH or EHS program, NIOSH ERC industrial hygiene program, or CEPH-accredited program with an emphasis in occupational health.

If there are no qualified applicants meeting the Upper Midwest Local Section scholarship criteria, then the scholarship may be awarded to a qualifying applicant meeting the AIHF eligibility criteria.​​
