Introducing AIHA University’s New Educational Platform

If we learned anything from 2020, it is that our online classrooms must be user-friendly and reliable to meet the needs of the busy industrial hygiene and occupational and environmental health and safety professionals we serve.

For many current and aspiring IH and OEHS professionals, AIHA University is the go-to resource for cutting-edge education and training. It’s the hub where you can access your online courses, webinars, and on-demand session recordings. To improve our support for our learners’ needs, AIHA’s Education Department looked for the best online platforms available in the association learning management system space. This July, we proudly launched AIHA University’s new online classroom, which will improve learners’ experiences by providing more intuitive user interactions; a robust, easily searchable online catalog; and an easier credit-claiming process to update your AIHA transcript.

Users continue to access the online classroom through the same URL and with the same login credentials that they used under the previous system. If you were in the middle of a course on the previous platform, it will carry over to the new one. As for tracking your educational activity, the AIHA Education Transcript remains the official record.

AIHA is excited about the potential this new learning management system brings to our members’ educational opportunities. We also understand that although the new platform is user friendly, it may be intimidating for first-time users. That’s why we created a step-by-step cheat sheet and a how-to video, which explain in detail how to access and use AIHA University’s new online classroom. If you have any additional questions about the transition or the new system, please reach out to AIHA’s eLearning team.
