Challenging Incident Investigation Paradigms

Earn 1 Contact Hour

As workplace safety and accident prevention methods have evolved, numerous paradigms have emerged around incident investigations. For example, ‘each accident must have a root cause analysis’, and ‘supervisors are the best persons to lead investigations’. With new research findings related to the causal factors of serious injuries and fatalities, it is time to take another look at incident reporting and investigation processes. In this webinar we will talk about the limitations of the current paradigms, and the need to shift our thinking around incident investigations.
