Date: Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 - Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021
Time: 9:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Cases of silicosis, a severe, incurable lung disease caused by silica dust exposure, have recently been identified in California engineered stone fabrication workers. This presentation will describe how these cases were uncovered in California, why workers in this industry are at particularly high risk, and what can be done to protect them.

The meeting begins at 6:00 PM PST with local section announcements and business followed by a technical presentation by Amy Heinzerling, MD, MPH. There will be an opportunity for open mic after the presentation.
