Job hazard analysis is an effective systematic technique for mitigating risk to workers. The most effective job hazard analyses capture the insight of workers who perform the work and the expertise of those skilled in hazard identification and control. Webinar participants will learn methods and considerations for mitigating risk to workers through job hazard analyses that accurately define essential job steps for completing the work; identifies and describes hazards associated with each job step, and defines effective hazard controls.

Terry Douglas, CIH, CSP, has been a practicing safety and health professional for more than 30 years with both Fortune 100 companies and with small businesses. His industry experience covers a wide array, including manufacturing, power generation, pharmaceutical services, decommissioning and demolition, environmental remediation, and more, in federal and commercial market sectors. Over those 30 plus years, and regardless of business or market sector, he has remained focused on systematic processes that mitigate risk to workers at the “hands-on” level. Terry is the president of Alliant Corporation, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business headquartered in Knoxville, TN, that delivers service excellence in occupational safety and health, environmental management, and project control services to federal and commercial clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida and graduate studies in Public Health at East Tennessee State University. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional.
