Explore how to practice high levels of emotional intelligence (EI) by viewing this webinar, Introduction to Emotional Intelligence (aka Emotional Quotient).
Managing professional relationships ties directly into EI, making or breaking the chances at getting a promotion, closing a deal, or achieving any business endeavor.
Presented by Larry Sloan, AIHA’s CEO, and Stacey Croghan, a founding member of the Women in Industrial Hygiene committee, this webinar describes the nature of emotional intelligence and how necessary it can be to move up the organizational ladder and achieve career success.
Since emotional intelligence can be strengthened over time, participants will receive actionable advice on how to immediately take steps to boost their EI through effective communication. We’ll also discuss the four main components of emotional intelligence: awareness of one’s emotions, awareness of others’ emotions, self-management, and relationship management.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Inform participants about how the brain functions and its adverse impact on EI
- Understand the fundamental components of EI
- Discuss practical ways to practice strengthening their EI
- Outline additional techniques to further their understanding
