Disasters strike when they are least expected. Preparing for these events includes developing business continuity/continuity of operations plans to guide the organization’s actions so that business can continue.

Although occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professionals provide vital services to their organization during an emergency, they may not be directly involved in preparing their organization or own department for the disaster.

Learn why OEHS involvement in continuity planning is critical to organizational success and receive guidance on how to participate effectively.

This webinar will discuss the elements of continuity plans, why they are key to an organization’s success, who is typically involved in the planning process, how OEHS professionals can support their organization in the planning process, and how the OEHS department can better prepare itself.

The new AIHA University Framework: Role of the OEHS Professional in Continuity Planning will be discussed and additional free resources will be shared to support your work (e.g., FEMA documents, NFPA Standards, etc.).
