The American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA®) is seeking OEHS professionals to provide feedback on an asynchronous (self-paced) online education course for entry-level OEHS professionals.

Project Overview

We are currently recruiting volunteers to work with AIHA staff to test the updated version of our online course: W201 Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene. Volunteers will participate in a test of the course, document any glitches or inaccuracies, and complete a survey to provide feedback on content, user experience, and functionality. The course is an 8-hour, asynchronous online education course which provides a foundational understanding of key Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety concepts. The target audience is students in OEHS or a related field, or early-career level OEHS professionals. The ideal volunteer will match that level of expertise or will be capable of analyzing the course content from that perspective.

Participants will receive credit on an AIHA transcript for having completed the course content.

Time Commitment

  • The course should take about 8 hours to complete.
  • The completion of the survey will take up to an additional hour.
  • Follow-up calls, no more than a half-hour to an hour in length, may follow once feedback surveys have been collected.
  • There is a deadline of one month to complete your review once access to the course is granted on May 5th.

To volunteer for this team, please fill out and submit the online application below by April 28th, 2021.

Your feedback will be an invaluable asset to the AIHA online education team as we strive to provide the best educational experience and attract new professionals into the OEHS field. We hope you’ll consider signing up.

Should you have any questions or wish to discuss your participation further, please contact Lauren Corlett or Colleen Manning.
