States Never Sleep

There is no easy way to summarize all the bills that have been introduced (already over 170,000), but many of them concern OEHS. There have been many that focus on testing f​or the presence of, and controlling exposure to, lead and various chemicals or biohazards that may be present in water and other substances. Other bills address disaster recovery, homeland security, or research.

While AIHA can only focus on a small portion of these, it doesn’t mean that the industrial hygiene community is lacking in opportunities to help protect worker health and safety. AIHA is encouraging its members and interested individuals to work with the association to plan, execute, and constantly evaluate the collective efforts of all involved.​​
