MEDIA ALERT: AIHce EXP 2021 Goes Fully Virtual

What: AIHA announced today that the annual AIHce EXP will be offered fully virtual. AIHce EXP 2021 was originally planned to be a hybrid experience, taking place live in Dallas, Texas, as well as virtually.

When: The conference will now take place entirely virtually May 24-26, with virtual PDCs offered May 22-23 and May 27.

Why: AIHce EXP 2021 was originally planned to be a hybrid experience, so attendees could come together both in-person and virtually. AIHA made great strides in planning numerous safety protocols for the in-person experience, and the conference’s educational opportunities featured an expanded hybrid option, which allowed for live audience participation regardless of the participant’s physical location. However, with the slow roll-out of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, the feedback from many members was that they are not able or willing to travel before receiving it. As such, the AIHA staff and Board of Directors have decided to convert this year’s conference into a fully virtual one.

How: AIHce EXP 2021 will continue to honor the needs of AIHA members and customers to earn up to 18 credit hours this year to maintain their credentials. The virtual conference will be packed with thought-provoking keynotes, practical case studies, and actionable education sessions related to COVID-19, as well as dozens of other cutting-edge OEHS topics, to help attendees stay up to date. Many of our professional development courses will be held virtually as well. Every full registration automatically comes with access to AIHce OnDemand session recordings, enabling attendees to catch up on sessions they missed or earn additional contact hours through December 31, 2021.

The virtual platform will provide participants with multiple benefits, including: seamless access to quality education; matchmaking with other attendees, exhibitors, and sessions based on participant interest areas; creative networking options; video presentations by poster presenters; and an extensive virtual exhibit featuring video and written chat functions.
