2019 Membership Classifications

Full Member ($215)Printable Form

An individual that has a business interest in or supports the industrial hygiene, occupational and environmental health and safety, or allied profession. Full members may vote on Association-related issues and serve on committees.

Early Career Professional ($107)Printable Form

An individual that has 15 years or less applied work experience within the industrial hygiene, occupational and environmental health and safety, or allied profession. Early Career members may vote on Association-related issues and serve on committees.

Emeritus ($107) / Printable Form

An Emeritus member shall be a former Full member who has retired from the active practice of industrial hygiene or occupational and environmental health and safety. An Emeritus member may continue to vote on Association-related issues and serve on committees.

International E-Member ($54)​Printable Form

An individual who would otherwise qualify as a Full member and who resides outside the United States and Canada may elect to be an International member. This is an e-membership, with online access to the Synergist magazine, members-only content, online community, and resources. An International member may vote on Association-related issues and may serve on committees.

Student ($31) / Printable Form​​

A full-time student at the college undergraduate or graduate level in the industrial hygiene or occupational and environmental health and safety field may become a Student member upon application and submission of a statement from his/her faculty advisor, transcript, or other means confirming status as a full-time student, initially and annually if requested.

Part-time students who are taking at least one-half the credit hours required for full-time undergraduate/graduate student may also become a student member upon application and submission of a statement from his/her faculty advisor, transcript or other means confirming the number of credit hours, initially and annually if requested. A Student member may not vote on Association-related issues but may serve as a non-voting member of a committee.

Organizational Membership

An organization that has two or more IH/OEHS employees. Individual organizational members may vote on Association-related issues and or serve on committees as outlined above in each membership class.

Virtual Section ($25)

An exclusive online platform tailored to AIHA members, including our growing international membership, not currently served by a local section, and for local section members who wish to add on to their current LS membership. Members will interact with peers for professional discussion, collaboration and access top-notch educational content.

General Access Programme (GAP)

AIHA and its trilateral partners, AIOH and BOHS, are pleased to offer exclusive benefits to each other’s respective members.​

Local Section Premier Partners Program

AIHA MEMBERSHIP DUES

AIHA dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes but may be partially deductible as a business expense. AIHA estimates that 6% of your dues are not deductible because of AIHA's lobbying activities on behalf of its members. AIHF and AGF are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Contributions to either may be tax deductible. Consult your tax advisor.​​

AIHA CODE OF CONDUCT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT​

This document outlines the Code of Conduct for all members and volunteers of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and summarizes the behavior expected of members and volunteers representing AIHA in any forum, mailing list, public meetings or private correspondence.​
