NIOSH Webinar Series on Technological Change to Launch Next Month

The first installment of a three-part NIOSH webinar series focused on how technological change is affecting work and well-being will be held on March 9. According to the agency, this webinar will approach the topic “through the lens of work arrangements.” Scheduled speakers include NIOSH’s chief economist, Rene Pana-Cryan, PhD; Scott DeBow, CSP/ARM, practice leader of risk and safety at the staffing agency Randstad USA; and Lorraine M. Conroy, ScD, CIH, who is director of the UIC Center for Healthy Work, a Center of Excellence for Total Worker Health funded by NIOSH. The webinar is part of NIOSH’s ongoing Expanding Research Partnerships Webinar Series, which is intended to connect researchers and practitioners from different disciplines to discuss challenges and opportunities in occupational health and safety. The NIOSH Office of Research Integration and the agency’s Healthy Work Design and Well-Being Program are co-hosting the event.

Individuals interested in attending the webinar can register for free via Zoom. Additional information will soon be posted to NIOSH’s website.

Last year, the webinar series focused on issues related to the pandemic. The presentations have been archived and are available to view on YouTube via the NIOSH website.
