Cast Your Vote on Proposed Bylaws Changes

Online voting is now open for proposed changes to the AIHA bylaws. The proposed changes would transition AIHA’s Local Sections Council to a new Local Sections Advisory Group and would institute a new “single-candidate slate” for elections of candidates for vice president, treasurer-elect, and secretary-elect.

eBallot (formerly VoteNet), a provider of secure online voting services, is conducting the ballot. On Monday, Sept. 16, the company sent an email to members with instructions on how to cast a ballot. eBallot asks that members who did not receive an email check their spam filters as the message may have become caught there.

Voting on the proposed changes will remain open through mid-October. For a discussion of the proposed changes, see AIHA President Kathleen S. Murphy’s article in the August issue of The Synergist.

To take effect, the proposed changes must be approved by two-thirds of voting members. Full members, emeritus members, and international members are eligible to vote, according to Article III of the AIHA bylaws. Student members and honorary members are not eligible.

Members who need assistance or who have questions about their eligibility to vote may contact AIHA Governance Specialist Lynae Brown at (703) 846-0745 or via email.
