The AIHA Board reviews and updates AIHA’s strategic direction as needed every three to five years. AIHA’s current strategic plan was developed to provide direction for the organization through 2015, so it is time to begin the review process.
The AIHA Board is forming a Strategic Direction Task Force to develop recommendations for organizational goals and objectives that will be appropriate for the next few years. As part of this process, the Task Force will gather input from AIHA members, volunteer groups, local sections, academia, businesses, and other stakeholders and review results of environmental scanning, market research, and member and customer needs surveys. The Task Force will receive guidance and direction from the AIHA Board and provide milestone updates throughout the project.
The Task Force will be comprised of eight to ten AIHA members who:
- are adept at thinking long term and strategically
- demonstrate passion for the industrial hygiene profession
- have a clear sense of AIHA’s mission and purpose
- are able to think creatively and question assumptions
