The 2014 AIHA® Leadership Workshop, held Feb. 21–23 in Falls Church, Va., promoted the continued success and development of the occupational and environmental health and safety profession. The two-day event drew 132 attendees representing 52 AIHA local sections, 46 volunteer groups, and 12 student local sections. Participants included AIHA Board members, local section regional representatives, and leaders from the local sections and student local section councils.
“AIHA’s volunteers are integral to guiding the association’s future development,” said AIHA President Elect Christine A. D. Lorenzo, CIH. “Leadership Workshop assists these professionals by providing them with the tools and resources they need to foster leadership within the IH profession. It's also a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and share ideas.”
