AIHA Launches New Website

Posted May 6, 2013
AIHA® has launched a new and improved website: Member feedback contributed directly to the new improvements, which focus on key areas of navigation, search capability, and mobile-friendly access. AIHA completed multiple surveys, focus groups, and usability studies to better understand how members use the website and to address the old site's limitations. The result is a more intuitive website that will help you find the content you’re looking for faster.

Among the most notable improvements is the new “My Profile” page that replaces the member Web portal. This new My Profile page is a “one-stop shop” for AIHA members—no more new windows or searching for links to the information you need. From this new and improved profile page, members are able to:

  • View and edit contact information
  • View membership information
  • Renew their membership
  • See a list of volunteer groups in which they participate, including committees, local sections, and SIGs
  • Keep track of AIHA courses and events they are registered for and view other upcoming events
  • Access their educational transcript directly
  • View downloads and transactions right on the page
For non-members, the new profile page offers a direct link to apply for membership. Non-members are also able to log in and use the new profile page to view and edit contact information and access their educational transcript.
Another key update to the new site is responsive design, which makes easy to view and use across a range of devices—from desktop computers to tablets to smartphones. The new website adapts its layout to the device on which it’s being viewed. Users will notice that the global navigation, images, text, and other parts of the home page shift and resize to fit the display screen.
Please note that the addresses for most of the web pages on have changed. If you've previously saved any web pages as bookmarks or favorites in your web browser, you will need to update these links with the new addresses.
AIHA SharePoint Communities Update: Members can continue to use the current communities until further notice. A few sample communities have been set up in the new website environment for demonstration so that members will be able to see what the new communities will look like. Our goal is to have the new communities live by July 1.
