AIHA Local Sections Answer Questions at Conservation, Cultural Heritage Conference

Posted July 12, 2017

The Chicago and Potomac Local Sections of AIHA collaborated with OSHA and the Health and Safety Committee of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) to host a booth at the AIC Annual Meeting and Conference, which was held May 30–31 in Chicago, Ill. Jason Lang, CIH; Ted Hogan, PhD, CIH; and Kathy Makos, CIH, answered many questions from conservation and cultural heritage professionals who stopped by the booth in the Expo. Questions ranged from topics such as asbestos and lead to laboratory safety, ventilation, and respirator use. The Chicago Local Section donated a copy of the book Health and Safety for Museum Professionals, which was raffled off at the end of the event.

A photo from the event appears below.
